Prathima Manohar
Founder and Editor in Chief
Prathima oversees the design and creation of all of the company’s products and initiatives. She directs the company’s content development, management, strategic planning and technology development. She also hosts “The Visionary” show.
Prathima is an architect, critic, writer and a TV Journalist. She has been a contributing columnist on architecture, urban development and design with India’s Leading News daily – The Times of India. She has also worked in the Television media and has been a correspondent with France24 - a 24 hour global TV news channel and TF1 where she did news reports, interviews with business leaders and several documentaries on Indian economy, Developmental and Cultural issues.
She has also written for the opinion pages of the International Herald Tribune and has reviewed for the Architecture Record. She has authored a 600 page monograph on the works of one of India's leading architects. She is currently working on a book on the themes of Cities, Townships/ Communities that was commissioned by the publishing arm of the "Landmark Group" -a Tata –Trent Company.
Sam Lubell
Editor at Large, The Urban Vision Journal
Sam directs the editorial content of The Urban Vision Journal. He plays a key role in developing the editorial matrix and commissioning research / opinion pieces to a global network of experts.
Sam lives in Los Angeles and is the Editor of the Architect's Newspaper, California Edition. Previously, he was News Editor at Architectural Record. He has written for The New York Times, The New York Times Magazine, The Los Angeles Times, Architectural Record, Architect Magazine, Travel + Leisure, and New York Magazine. He has also written two books, Paris 2000+ (Monacelli Press 2007), and London 2000+ (Monacelli Press 2008). He studied architecture history at Brown University, USA.
Vinay Yermal
Director of Technology
Vinay heads the technology division and leads the Innovation efforts at the internet enterprise of The Urban Vision. Vinay is an Information Technology Engineer and has over 10 years in developing IT solutions, internet technologies and strategies.
He is the co-founder of SIDS-SolutionZ, which is the business solution arm of SIDS - which is today known to be a pioneer in the Web design and Internet Technology Business in both South Asia and the Middle East. He has led the development and conception of over 100 web based projects. He has been part of the core team that created some of the most successful and award winning websites of our times including the original cricketnext.com, cybernoon.com, stardustindia.com among many others.
Sheital N
Director of Business Development
Sheital leads the development and implementation of The Urban Vision's business model. She overlooks the company's brand positioning, sales and business development initiatives.
Sheital has over 10 years of experience in sales, business development, channel management and strategic alliances development. She has led large regional sales teams of leading brands encompassing telecom, office automation and the finance segment. She has been highly regarded for creating and expanding strategic partnerships for these organizations.
Nidhi Batra
Editor –Urbanism
Nidhi directs The Urban Vision’s work around several urbanism themes. She also overlooks the foundation’s initiatives like The Urban Vison Clubs and The City Manager programs.
Nidhi holds a Bachelors degree in Architecture and Masters in Urban design where she won a ‘Gold Medal’ for her dissertation on the subject of ‘Adaptive Reuse’. Her paper on ‘Modernism and Isolation of Heritage’ was selected as part of poster session in International Meet of INTBAU held in Delhi- Jan 2007.
She has previously worked with Urban Design Research Institute in Mumbai as a Urban Designer where she worked on a project titled ‘Tracing Two Mega-city Projects’ featuring Shanghai and Mumbai. She was also sponsored by Rockefeller foundation to work as an Urban Designer for the Global Studio in Johannesburg which was a project initiated by members of the United Nations Millennium Project’s Task Force.
Anjuli Pandit
Editor- Sustainability
Anjuli overlooks the Urban Vision’s initiatives in the area of environment, sustainability and climate change. She also hosts the “EcoView” show.
Anjuli is part of the core team which set up The Climate Project India which was founded by Nobel Peace Prize Winner Al Gore and enjoys the patronship of Dr. R K Pachauri in India. Anjuli has developed several awareness programs on global warming issues in several countries including USA, Kazakhstan, Czech Republic and India.
She has been recruited as a member of Al Gore’s “Green Team” and was trained by Mr. Gore in Nashville, TN to give the Inconvenient Truth Slide Show Presentation on his behalf. She holds a Bachelors of Science in Education and International Studies from University of Miami.
